ePiCc Trauma

Filled with lectures, image recognition and scanning stations, this course will enable you to confidently use POCUS to diagnose and manage the critically unwell patient. 


Learn to use POCUS to find free fluid in the abdomen in the trauma, suspected ectopic or ovarian cyst rupture patient. Lung and cardiac US to diagnose pericardial and pleural effusion, pneumothorax and contusion.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Join us for a fun filled day of abdominal US in critical care!

Learning:

1. how the image the GB and biliary system, appendic and bowel, abdominal aorta, renal tract and the pelvis

2. Tips and tricks to obtaining great images

3. Normal vs abnormal findings. 

4. Common pitfalls

Image review:

Go through multitudes of clinical case images to improve your recognition of pathology

Scanning:

1. Models to learn how to optimise your imaging

2. Patients with pathology to learn to recognise pathology

SIM and quiz:

Finally, end the day testing your new found skills at interractive SIM sessions and image review.
